FBS Increases Scientific Publication of Lecturers through Collaboration with Hiroshima City University Japan

The Unimed Language and Arts Faculty held a group discussion forum on collaborative publications in the FBS courtroom (28/12). By presenting speakers Prof. Chiaki Iwai, M.A., Ph.D. from Hiroshima City University.

The event was attended by FBS functionaries and several lecturers from the English Language and Literature Department. The program was opened by FBS Deputy Dean I Dr. Wahyu Tri Atmojo, M. Hum representing the Dean of Ms. Dr. Isda Pramuniati, M. Hum. accompanied by Deputy Dean II and Deputy Dean III.

The activity was also attended by the Faculty Quality Assurance Group namely Dr. Zulkifli, M. Sn and Dr. Surya M Hutagalung, M.Pd. and FBS Professor Unimed Prof. Amrin Saragih, M.A., Ph.D.

The Dean of FBS through WD I hoped that all lecturers should be able to write research results and then look for relationships to work together to publish them in internationally reputed journals. The pioneering collaboration of scientific publications held by FBS Unimed collaborates with two foreign institutions namely Hiroshima City University (HCU) and USM.

According to Prof. Chiaki Iwai, MA, Ph.D to be able to make publications in internationally reputed journals, lecturers must open themselves by entering / participating in Professional Associations and science, and actively participate in the competition for grant funding for research because through this grant the lecturers will be able to participate in the results publication program research through conferences and journal publications.

He continued, Lecturers must build networking to be able to publish their work. Scientific publication is not an easy thing, publication requires patience and a good communication strategy. Lecturers must learn to follow the format of scientific writing depending on the journal to be published. Lecturers must build knowledge and skills to produce research with various quantitative and qualitative research methods.
