AISTSSE 2020, Presents National and International Education Experts

“The development of industrial revolution 4.0 uses intelligence engineering and the internet of things as a means of movement and connectivity of people and machines. It is a very important aspect to prepare the generation in facing the challenges of the era of disruption or the era of industrial revolution 4.0, especially in the field of education,” said the Rector of UNIMED in his speech at the AISTSSE International Seminar. International Seminar The 7th Annual International Seminar on Trends on Science and Science Education (AISTSSE) 2020 held by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Negeri Medan virtually using zoom application themed ‘The role of Science and Education on Digital Disruption in 21st Century”.

AISTSSE 2020 invites resource persons who are experts in their respective fields from various countries. The speakers who filled this seminar were Prof. Dr. Syawal Gultom, M.Pd (State University of Medan, Indonesia), Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, M.Si (The Ganesha University of Education – Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Jakrapong Kaewkhao (Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University-Thailand), Dr. R. Rajaramakrishna, M.Sc., B.Ed.,Ph.D., (The National College, Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Physics, Jayanagar- India), Dr. So Wenuganen (Maharishi University of Management IOWA, USA), Prof. Dr. Hadi Suwono, M.Si. (Dean of Malang University-Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Muhamad A. Martoprawiro (Bandung Institute of Technology – Indonesia), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Dasna, M.Si., M.Ed (Malang University-Indonesia)

Dean of FMIPA Dr. Fauziyah Harahap, M.Si conveyed the purpose of this seminar to provide a forum for researchers, academics, teachers, principals, government agencies, consultants to share insights related to Science and Science Education Trends. “For this conference, we invited eight different keynote speakers with solid expertise from different countries and regions,” Dean said.

The event was opened by the Rector of Medan State University, Dr. Syamsul Gultom, SKM., M.Kes.. Rector said that changes and developments that continue to accelerate this can not be avoided by anyone. So that it requires the preparation of adequate human resources (HR) with competent skills to be ready to adjust and able to compete in the global scale. Empowerment and improvement of human resources through primary and secondary education to universities is one of the keys to be able to follow the development of industrial revolution 4.0, and follow 5.0.

“We hope that this International seminar activity can be useful for all of us, especially all participants who have joined this webinar network, and can also be useful in improving the performance and achievement of all participants, especially for Mr / Mrs. Unimed lecturers, to further improve the work of publications in reputable international scientific journals,” concluded Dr. Syamsul.
