FIS UNIMED Public Lecture Seeking a New Direction of Historical Learning

Medan (Unimed) – Department of History Education FIS Unimed holds a public lecture at VIP Unimed Multipurpose Room, on December 1, 2016. It aims to improve the quality and quality of human resources students in learning history. The general lecture was the theme of “seeking a new direction of history learning in North Sumatra, a historical review” presented Professor of History of Gajah Mada University Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Bambang Purwanto, M.A.

The event was opened by the Dean of FIS, Dra. Nurmala berutu, M.Pd., Also present Head of Department of History Education, Lecturer History, and hundreds of students from the department of historical education and anthropology program.

Sejarah

In his speech, Dra. Nurmala Berutu, M.Pd. hoping that after this event the student of history can add insight and apply it in learning in school, there are new innovations and new ways so that learning history in school becomes more interesting and liked. Then, with the presence of Prof. Bambang Purwanto we can dig information about scholarship so that our students who want to S2 at UGM, can continue their study.

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Bambang Purwanto, M.A. said not wanting to be sea salt, because I believe Unimed lecturers are better at understanding the situation and learning atmosphere in the area. I just want to share the experience of how history learning becomes more interesting and not boring for students, of course, again tailored to the culture and culture in each place.
