MEDAN – Language Center of North Sumatra (BBSU), held the final night of 2018 Ambassadors (Dubas) election activities. The activities to improve the role of the young generation in establishing the function of Indonesian, local and foreign languages in accordance with the sphere of use followed by 240 participants from various regions in North Sumatra.
End at the top event was elected Patrial Olivert Zega former Chairman of HMJ BSI FBS UNIMED, Patrial is a student majoring in English Education UNIMED, one of the majors that is not less achievement. Patrial managed to dominate the other 19 finalists after going through many sessions during the quarantine that took place on 3-5 May at Hotel Polonia Medan. He has broken the record by raising the campus UNIMED name after 2 years in a row not holding the title of Language Ambassador.
“In an effort to maintain Indonesian culture, youth must be global, but also have local character, that is Indonesian character who is cultured and love his own language”, said Patrial in answering the question directly witnessed by hundreds of people and some officials in Medan.
According to the chairman of the committee, Yulia Fitra stated “Dubas elected will follow the national-level Dubas election. Therefore, after being elected Patrial will follow debriefing directly developed by BBSU, “said chairman of the committee.
As the jury on the summit of the election of Dubas North Sumatera 2018 respectively, Muhri Fauzi Hafiz deputy chairman of North Sumatra Provincial DPRD commission, Mora Nasution communication expert from on the stage, Putri Mentari Sitanggang from Puteri Indonesia Sumut 2016, Fairul Zabadi and Salbiyah Nurul Aini from BBSU.
Prof. Syawal Gultom, congratulated Patrial Olivert Zega for his achievement as the 1st Winner of North Sumatra Language Ambassador. Of course this achievement results from hard work and full of sincerity to pursue achievement. “We civitas Unimed congratulate, hopefully at the national level can be re-champion, thus bringing the good name of Unimed and North Sumatra at the level of the National Language Ambassador.
